About me
Daniel Martinez HoSang is a Professor of American Studies and Political Science and holds a secondary appointment in the Yale School of Medicine History of Medicine Section. For this presentation Professor Martinez HoSang will be joined by several current Yale undergraduates who participate in the Anti-Eugenics Collective at Yale (AECY), exploring how students and faculty collaborate on research and public impact projects. The AECY works with a wide range of groups, including medical residents, science departments, K-12 teachers, and incarcerated students, and presents its work at national and international conferences. Professor Martinez Hosang has authored or edited six books on the critical study of race in the US including most recently, A Wider Type of Freedom: How Struggles for Racial Justice Liberate Everyone. His recent undergraduate courses include Eugenics and its Afterlives, Anti-Racist Curriculum and Pedagogy, and Race, Politics, and the Law.
