About me
Ben Polak is the William C. Brainard Professor of Economics and Professor of Management at Yale University. From 2013 to 2019, he served as Yale’s provost. His course in Game Theory is one of the most popular classes in Yale College. The 2007 version of the course is freely available on the Yale Open Courses platform. Ben has won several teaching prizes, including the Lex Hixon '63 Prize for Teaching Excellence in the Social Sciences and the William Clyde DeVane Medal for undergraduate teaching and scholarship. Prior to coming to Yale in 1994, Ben was an undergraduate at Cambridge, a master’s student at Northwestern, and a PhD student and postdoc at Harvard.
